Iron Valley is a single malt with its own proportions and style. Made from 100% Cascadia malt, a barley variety known for its flavor and aroma. Double-distilled in an all-copper pot still that's heated internally — a process that caramelizes the grain proteins and builds out a richer, more complex flavor profile.
Tasting Notes
Appearance Clear and clean, pale amber from two and a half years in small American-oak firkin casks.
Nose Toasted nuts and vanilla. The kind of room-filling aroma that has you reaching for the glass before you've taken the first sip.
Palate Pan-roasted nuts and vanilla over a malty, grainy core. Marzipan, graham cracker, and butter brickle come through clearly. The sweetness lifts the whole experience and keeps you coming back for another sip.
Closing note
Iron Valley is a powerful Washington single malt — the result of careful attention at every step of production at Elk Heights Distillery.
